I'm proud to be joining Team Sarcoma in the Edinburgh Marathon 2025

Edinburgh Marathon 2025 · 25 May 2025 ·
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
In May 2025, I’ll be running the Edinburgh Marathon in support of Sarcoma UK - a national charity that funds vital research, supports those affected by sarcoma, and campaigns for better treatments.
I’m running in memory of my old school friend, James, who sadly passed away in 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer.
James was diagnosed in April 2020 with a rare and aggressive form of cancer called Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma (ARMS). Despite enduring months of intense chemotherapy and radiotherapy, James heartbreakingly lost his fight in March 2021.
All donations raised will go directly to Sarcoma UK, a charity dedicated to tackling one of the most difficult and under-recognised cancers.
Sarcoma is a cancer of the bone and soft tissue. It’s rare, hard to diagnose, and even harder to treat. By supporting me, you're helping to change that. Your contribution will fund research, keep the Sarcoma UK Support Line running, and help raise awareness and improve care for patients and families.
Here's how your donation can make a difference:
£8.80 could cover the cost of ten 21-minute support calls to Sarcoma UK’s Support Line
£25 could fund a Research Associate to work on a Sarcoma UK research project for an hour
£600 could purchase a cell line used in laboratory studies to better understand sarcoma and test new treatments
Thank you so much for your support!
