Since moving to the United States from Britain, I have been blown away by the scale, warmth, optimism and outlook of this amazing nation and its people. New York City is a great place to live. It's also an unforgivingly tough place to live, especially if you're elderly, or not affluent. I have therefore chosen to partner with the St George's Society of New York - a charity that does incredible work in supporting those in need at 3 important stages of life: childhood, senior year and the elderly.

For 254 years, St. George's Society of New York has looked after the well-being of the British and Commonwealth communities in New York City. Our charitable programs ensure that elderly New Yorkers at risk of homelessness remain housed and living independently, that college seniors facing financial hardship can complete their degree, and that families from the UK coming to New York for life-saving pediatric cancer treatment are given the support they need during their visit. In addition, our Membership provides individuals with shared backgrounds and interests a chance to connect with one another and give back.
