On the 1st September 2023 my sister gave birth to my Niece Lily Kathleen at 37 weeks who was sadly stillborn due to umbilical cord complications.

In memory of Lily I'm running 1000 km in 100 days to raise money for Sands. I will start on 25th May this year with my final 10k being my home race in Altrincham on the 1st September marking since Lily came into our hearts

Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity, operates across the UK: supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby; working in partnership with health professionals to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care; and promoting improvements in practice and funding research that could help to reduce the loss of babies’ lives.
