Story
In March 2027 I have the honor of running the Tokyo Marathon for the Irish Cancer Society.
Nearly every family, including my own, has been affected by cancer. This year alone, an estimated 44,000 people will receive a cancer diagnosis in Ireland. That's 120 people every day and 5 people every hour hearing the words "you have cancer" throughout the country.
I appreciate I am starting my fundraising early, however, I have some targets to hit to secure my place on the start line. By the 16th July I need to have raised €800, with another €1,200 to follow in October. Any amount you can spare would be greatly appreciated, and goes direct to the Irish Cancer Society.
By helping me reach my fundraising target for the Tokyo Marathon, you are helping to fund life-changing cancer research and provide vital support services to patients and their loved ones in communities across Ireland. This work couldn't be possible without you, so thank you.
I look forward to updating you on my progress as we get closer to Tokyo!
Tom
