Story
I have been given the amazing opportunity to run the Manchester Marathon for MSF. I think in the current climate especially, independent and impartial medical care is vital. I believe medical care should be a right not a privilege and that’s why I have chosen to run for MSF who work in 70 countries including Gaza and Ukraine saving lives across the world and while I can’t have a direct impact I’m hoping we can support those who can. You can see the summary from MSF below:
Médecins Sans Frontières / Doctors Without Borders (MSF) is the world's leading medical humanitarian aid organisation. We work in over 70 countries - in conflict zones, natural disasters and epidemics. We are independent, neutral and impartial. We provide medical care where it's needed most.
How can your support help?
- £21 can help pay for masks to resuscitate three newborn babies.
- £43 could pay for a blood pressure monitor to help detect underlying health issues
- £95 could provide antiretroviral drugs for a year for one person living with HIV/AIDS.
- £153 could buy a basic surgical kit, enabling an MSF surgeon to carry out surgery.
- £306 can pay for an emergency kit to dress 100 wounds.
Thank you!
