Story
This April, I will be running the London Marathon in aid of Alzheimer’s Research UK.
This charity is close to my heart, and the heart of my family, as my lovely Mum was sadly diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s in April 2023.
Mum is 63, coping remarkably well with the disease and remaining positive.
The disease's progression appears manageable at present, which comes as a huge relief, while Mum and our family adapt to the change. Although, we are all acutely aware of the challenges that lay ahead.
I believe it is important to stay as positive as possible in the face of challenging circumstances, so what better way than to sign up for my first marathon to raise funds for Alzheimer’s Research UK.
I am committed to raise a minimum of £2,200, and so I would be incredibly grateful for any donation.
Your support is funding the UK's leading dementia research charity. With major new developments in dementia treatment, detection and prevention, the answers that can change, and will change lives is coming, all thanks to your generous support.
Thank you.
