I'm taking on Race the Sun Jurassic Coast Off-Road for Action Medical Research
Tom Towers is raising money for Action Medical Research
Story
The Redridge team will be undertaking the challenge of Race the Sun Jurassic Coast Off-Road!
In June we will be setting off at sunrise to bike (20 miles), hike (10 miles) and paddle (2 miles) around a challenging course in a race against the sun.
We are racing in aid of children's charity, Action Medical Research. They have spent over 70 years funding vital research to help defeat the diseases that devastate the lives of sick and disabled babies, children, and young people.
We are also supporting another charity, Spread your wings UK. Spread Your Wings was created with three objective's -
Firstly to relieve the need of families affected by Angelman Syndrome and similar conditions by funding equipment, therapy and other essential services.
Secondly by funding research into treatments and cures for Angelman Syndrome.
Thirdly by increasing and improving the opportunities for children with Angelman and similar conditions to take part in physical activities and sports.
These are both hugely worthwhile charities.
