Story

Hi there everyone, thank you for visiting my page. Wether you’re someone who knows me already and have come on here to support me, or you’re a stranger who wants to spread their kindness, first I would like to give you an insight too why I’m raising for Samaritans, why I’m doing the fight, my story and then how your donation helps support the charity/ other people.

So about Samaritans, for people who don’t know- Samaritans are an amazing charity launched by Chad Varah in 1953. He started the charity after he experienced a lot of suicide cases in his Parish work. Nowadays, they work in the mental health field. They offer crucial support to people who’re going through hardships in life, things being like relationship issues, financial struggles, emotional distress, problems in a work place and even thoughts of self harm and suicide. So how they do this is they have a confidential listening service, which works round the clock to make sure every caller is given help whenever they need it. In the calls they aim to reduce and hopefully stop the bad thoughts of someone who has called in, to uplift and reassure them with a positive energy and give them the relevant support they need at that time. Their services are mostly run by trained volunteers that handle calls, emails, and even face to face meetings. Statistics show that in 2023 alone they serviced a new phone call every 10 seconds! So their dedication to assist the community is quite impressive!

So here’s why I’ve chosen to fundraise for them. So I’ve lived along side troubled mental health my whole life, pretty much everyone has. As you’re reading this you can probably think of someone straight away who you care about that has struggles with their thoughts and feelings. It exists in my family, and my friends, it affects everyone. So it’s personal for me. I’ve always been passionate about looking after other people and their mental health, so I’m passionate about raising money for a charity like Samaritans. One person comes too mind when talking about this, and it’s my late friend Noah. He was a lad just a bit younger than me, he went too my secondary school, he was best mates with my best mates, and me and him got on really well. Now he had his hardships in life, struggled with what goes on upstairs, and sadly he took his own life a few months ago. He was a special guy, always made us laugh, was confident in what he done and always being goofy/ up to no good. He really was special, and grieving him still hasn’t got much easier. I can’t help but think in his moment how lonely it must of been for him. What broke me was the people he left behind, at his funeral service, having too see his family and watch them bury him, it was devastating. But now we remember him now for the good times, and celebrate his life, and now I talk about him, he is an example of why we should not only talk more, but why also having charities like Samaritans in place, can give people like Noah life saving help. R.I.P Noah 💚

So this fights my way of giving back, I feel like I owe it too the people who struggle, to raise as much money as I can, and go the extra mile for those in need. Fighting has always been within me, when I was much younger in primary school, I competed as an amateur boxer. I really didn’t get far in it, but what stuck with me all the time after i stopped boxing was, I still had this fight in me. Like this primal instinct that I always wanted too fight, the feeling to trained hard, perfect my skills, and put on a performance in the ring. Even outside the ring, in everything I do, it’s somewhat a fight, I battle too excel in life in every way I can. So this fight is relevant to me in the case of I love raising money, and I love boxing! I participated in a UWCB fight in December 2023, and ever since then I wanted too do another, so here we are, training for July the 19th, I’m going to put on a show.

So how does your donation help? Your money is put to good use that’s for sure! Donations help the Samaritans keep their 24/7 helpline running, train volunteers, support community outreach, and advocate for better mental health policies. Samaritans say they need to train about 20,000 volunteers to keep up with demand of the public. Your generosity will also help the Samaritans and their community outreach, helps boost support programs in school, workplaces and hospitals ect.

So that’s all I’ve got too say about my fundraiser, I appreciate anyone who’s taken the time to read this, so now I ask you one thing. Please donate as much as you can! It’s so vital too help support the charity too aid people in need. Donating isn’t just clicking a few buttons and money leaving your bank, your funding can quite literally save lives. Too me I think there’s not a kinder, and more caring act, too support people you don’t know out of the goodness of your soul.

For your own confidence, 100% of money raised in this fundraiser doesn’t go to anyone else. No commission for me, no fee given too a company, every penny is strictly for the Samaritans. A final note about myself- I am so ready, raising money for charity and the less fortunate is my thing, it’s my calling in life. There’s nothing than I want more than for the world too be kinder too everyone, too make life worth living. I truly want too inspire the world, too show that an average guy can do more than average things, and that anyone can excel in life if they just lock in and hunt down their goals. Manifestation and self belief are the two most powerful attributes I have, and when I use them into what I do, it always, always works. I want too change the world, make it a better place. If you’ve read this and you want too see me fight, the link is below here. It’s going to be a huge turnout and a spectacle. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart, let’s save some lives ♥️
