About us

Tom

In May 2026, alongside Antony , I’ll be taking on one of the toughest endurance challenges out there: Ironman Lanzarote. That means a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bike ride, and a full marathon, all in one day. It’s a huge personal goal and something I’ve dreamed of completing for a long time. I’m doing this to raise money for Mind, a charity that provides vital support for people struggling with their mental health. Training for an Ironman has tested me physically and mentally, and it’s made me appreciate just how important it is to have the right support when things get tough. Every donation, no matter how small, will help Mind continue their incredible work and will keep me pushing through every mile on race day.

Losing my nephew to suicide changed my life forever. The pain, the questions, and the what-ifs never truly fade. No family should ever have to experience that kind of loss — yet too many do.

My nephew was kind, funny, and full of potential, but like so many who suffer in silence, he found it hard to ask for help. In his memory, I’m raising funds for HEH Mind, our local branch of the national Mind charity, which provides vital mental health support, counselling, and crisis care for people in our community.

HEH Mind is a lifeline — not just for those in crisis, but for anyone facing anxiety, depression, grief, or loneliness. They offer hope, understanding, and a safe place to turn when it’s needed most.

I want to honour my nephew’s life by helping others find the support he couldn’t. If this helps even one person feel less alone, then his story will continue to make a difference.

Every donation, no matter the size, helps HEH Mind keep their doors open and their hearts open. Thank you for standing with me — and for helping bring light to those who are struggling in silence.

In loving memory of my nephew — and for everyone finding their way through difficult times.

Havant Mind isn’t just a place for people in crisis — it’s a community lifeline. They support those facing anxiety, depression, grief, and loneliness, as well as families like mine, offering a safe space and someone to talk to when it’s needed most. With mental health services stretched, charities like Havant Mind fill a vital gap and rely on donations to keep their doors open.

This will be my 2nd Ironman in Lanzarote, my last was back in 2015 when I was 40. Next year I will be 51 but aiming to improve my finish time.
