Taking on the Suffolk Sunrise – MTB Style!

This year, I’m taking on the RIDE Suffolk Sunrise—a fast and furious sportive event known for its speedy road riders and seriously slick pacing. But here’s the twist...

While most riders will be flying down the tarmac on their sleek road bikes, I’ll be rolling up to the start line on my trusty MTB hardtail: the Voodoo Bizango. That’s right—42 miles of Suffolk countryside, tackled on Maxxis tyres, RockShox front suspension, and a whole lot of grit.

Why? Because I’m riding to support Action Medical Research, a brilliant charity funding life-changing research for sick and disabled babies, children, and young people. Their work has already helped make huge strides in areas like premature birth, rare diseases, and childhood disabilities—but there’s so much more to do.

I’m not aiming to break any speed records—unless it’s the record for most energy gels consumed in one ride—but I will be putting my legs (and lungs) to the test to raise funds for this amazing cause.
