Story
On Saturday, 12th September 2026, I am climbing Ben Nevis in support of Scope Eyecare and Healthcare's Charity of Choice, the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC).
Ben Nevis is the highest mountain in Scotland, the United Kingdom, and the British Isles. Ben Nevis stands at the western end of the Grampian Mountains in the Highland region of Lochaber, close to the town of Fort William.
Working for Scope has given me the opportunity to support causes that reflect our purpose: "Inspiring each other to make a difference. Deepening our legacy. What we do matters." I am proud to be raising funds for one of Scope's Charities of Choice, the Royal Society for Blind Children (RSBC). Through the Charities of Choice programme, Scope is committed to supporting children with vision loss and their families, helping to make a meaningful difference in the communities we serve.
By participating, I am aiming to raise a minimum of £500 toward RSBC the leading national charity in the UK for blind and partially sighted children and young people, and their families. From diagnosis to early adulthood they support however they can. Every child is unique, and every family’s journey is different.
