Story
We all know that cancer is a killer and we all know someone who has been affected by this terrible disease. In recent times, loved ones close to me have been battling the terrible illness and I want to do something to help.
Many of you will know that I am an avid cyclist and I thought I could put this to good use by fundraising for MacMillan Cancer support. You should also know that I don’t do anything by halves and have therefore decided to cycle solo and unsupported from John O Groats to Lands End.
I have planned a route through some beautiful towns and villages consisting of around 1100 miles in total with some of the route especially through Scotland bieng extremely baron so I must be well prepared.
I will start my journey on Friday 29th August and plan to complete my epic adventure in one piece. Of course, I will need help along the way, starting with my brother, George Smith, taking me up to Scotland and a friend, Newquay Car Keys, picking me up at the end of my trip. I am planning on wild camping most of my journey with the occasional civilised rest stop along the way. All I will have with me is what I can a carry on my trusty steed and a WAHOO GPS for company.
If I can complete this challenge and raise enough money to support such an important charity, I will be able to rest a little easier. However, as we all know, until a cure for cancer is found, we must keep fighting and fundraising.
That's why Macmillan will do whatever it takes to help everyone living with cancer across the UK get the support they need right now and transform cancer care for everyone who will be diagnosed in the future.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving, once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity.
Please support me with this challenge and support the cause I am fundraising for. Any contributions will be greatly recieved and appreciated

Thank you so much,
Tom
