Story
Thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page!
Earlier this month, I had the privilege of meeting the team at Veterans with Dogs, and their mission instantly struck a chord. The work they do, pairing veterans with specially trained assistance dogs, is nothing short of life-changing.

As someone who has experienced the mental health benefits of having a dog, I know just how powerful that bond can be. My own dog, Layla, has been a constant source of comfort, joy, and grounding, always happy to see me, no matter what kind of day I’ve had. That unconditional support is something every veteran deserves.
I’m proud to be taking on this challenge to support such an incredible cause. Your support means the world, thank you.
The Challenge

On 15th August, I’m taking on the Cotswold Way, a 102-mile hike from Bath to Chipping Campden taking in 4000m of elevation unassisted over just three days. I’ll be carrying 15kg of food, gear, and camping equipment on my back, wild camping along the way with no support crew.
(For context, that's over 4 x the distance of the Yorkshire three-peak challenge, and 2.5 x the elevation.)

I'm 5 weeks into training so far, with 2 weeks to go, so we're getting close now. I'll be sharing updates via my Linkedin page intermittently, and during the challenge I'll update my daily progress as I go.

If you're in the local area around that time, feel free to come say hello (if you can find me) I'm sure I'll welcome the moral support, or the jelly babies!
The Charity
By the evening of 17th August I'm sure I'll have more blisters than toenails left, and won't be able to walk, but I'll be doing it to raise funds for Veterans with Dogs. This incredible charity trains and provides life-changing assistance dogs to support veterans living with mental health conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
These specially trained dogs don’t just offer comfort, they offer safety, routine, and emotional grounding during even the darkest of days. For many veterans, these dogs become the bridge between isolation and independence.
Every penny raised will go towards the vital training and support needed for these hero pups, from their earliest socialisation all the way through to becoming fully trained assistance dogs ready to serve by a veteran’s side.
Together, we can make a real difference, one wet nose at a time.
