After eleven attempts at entering the ballot for the London Marathon and failing miserably, I tried my luck with the Berlin marathon and somehow got a place! With The Steve Bernard Foundation so close to my heart and all the fantastic work that Tony, Sue and Jacques have done over the years I am therefore running the Berlin marathon on Sunday 29th September 2024.

With Stevie being a good friend from back at Bournemouth Electric when we were just out of nappies, as well as attending Chichester University I always get a huge buzz and extra sense of achievement when partaking charity events for the SBF.

The aim is to complete the marathon in 4hrs 30mins and to raise £2.5k for this incredible charity. I appreciate both targets mean that I'm setting the bar quite high but I will give it my best shot!

ALSO..........TONY HAS PROMISED ME THAT IF WE GET TO £10K HE WILL GET A WSIHE (West Sussex Institute of Higher Education, now Chichester Uni) TATTOO!! IS THERE ANY GREATER INCENTIVE TO DONATE NOW!!!

The Steve Bernard Foundation was set up in memory of Stevie B following his tragic passing in November 2005. Formed in Feb 2006, the SBF has gone on to raise over £500k for sporting projects based across the South Coast. We have supported more than 400 projects in 60 sports and 4 continents.
