Story
This fundraiser for Mind has been set up in memory of Tom Lovell ahead of the Wycombe v Fulham game on 28th October 2025.
Tom was the kindest and funniest friend you could ever ask for. He was the kind of person who lit up any room he was in.
He was a huge football fan and his life really revolved around it - playing as a goalkeeper himself, watching Fulham or Wycombe and even just chatting about football. He lived and breathed the game.
Tom was a lifelong Fulham fan and shared his love for the Cottagers with anyone who would listen. One of my happiest memories with him is going to Craven Cottage and chanting abuse at Tony Pulis! As well as being a lifelong Fulham fan, Tom came to a lot of Wycombe games with me over the years - quickly becoming a fan himself! He was even there at Wembley when we lost on penalties to Southend in the league two play off final.
Tom sadly took his own life in April 2024. He was far too young and we will never forget him.
I have set up this Fundraiser ahead of the meeting of the two teams that he held dear to him - Wycombe and Fulham - and hope that supporters of both teams would join me in donating to Mind in his memory. The work they do in supporting those struggling with their mental health is invaluable.
I also hope that fans at the game would join Tom’s friends and I in a minutes applause in his memory - this would be in the 25th minute as this was the age he was when we so sadly lost him.
Thanks everyone!
