I decided that I would run a half marathon on Christmas Day to keep myself going on my fitness journey! I couldn’t think of a better charity to do it for than my friend Sarah’s Home Start South Warwickshire.

Am I crazy? Yes

But doing it for charity and pushing my own boundaries means so much to me!

Home Start South Warwickshire is a lifeline for families with young children who are facing tough times — whether that’s isolation, mental health challenges, financial struggles, or simply the overwhelming demands of parenthood.

At the heart of their work are their incredible trained volunteers, who visit families at home, offering both emotional and practical support. They provide a listening ear, a helping hand, and, most importantly, reassurance, empowering parents to build confidence and resilience.

They also run group sessions, tailored support programmes, and work alongside other local services to ensure families feel connected and supported.

Because when parents feel stronger, children have the best possible start in life. And that’s what Home-Start South Warwickshire is all about—building brighter futures, one family at a time.
