I'm taking part in this year's Tunnel to Towers 5km in NYC this 27th September 2026 in full fire kit. The 5km is in memory of Firefighter Stephen Siller, FDNY Squad Company 1, who had just come off duty and was heading home when the planes hit. The route retraces his final steps as he ran the 5km from Brooklyn in full fire kit, through the battery tunnel, into Lower Manhattan then North to the World Trade Centre. Sadly he was 1 of 343 FDNY Firefighters to die that day.

I'm raising money for The Firefighters Charity as I've recently had to use their programmes due to an on-duty injury last year and I want to give something back to them.
