Sadly, in September last year my dear Dad was diagnosed with MND. He has been a pillar of strength and inspiration to me throughout my life and, remains that way as he takes on the challenge of living with this cruel disease.

I am taking on one of my most daunting physical activities - cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats. Not only will this be a challenge due to the length of the ride, over 900 miles over 9 days, but as I am not the most experienced cyclist this will be many months of hard work in preparation. Nothing compared to what Dad is going through right now.

The MND Association focus on improving access to care, research and campaigning for those people living with or affected by MND in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. By sponsoring me your money will help people affected by Motor Neurone Disease.
