Support Our 26.2-Mile Charity Walk for Gardiner Hill – In Loving Memory of Emma Grantham
Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,
We are a group of six best friends—Kylie, Courtney, Lowys, Jackie, Kerry, Fiona, and myself—who are taking on an incredible challenge to support a cause deeply personal to me mental health awareness and support.
On 12th of may 2025 we will walk an epic 26.2 miles to honour the memory of my beautiful sister, Emma Grantham, whom we tragically lost on 24th October 2024.
Emma was an amazing person, full of light and kindness, but like so many others, she faced mental health challenges that ultimately became overwhelming. Her loss has left a void in our lives, but it has also inspired us to do something positive in her memory. We want to raise awareness, break the stigma, and support others who may be struggling, so no one feels they have to suffer in silence.
Why Mental Health Matters
Mental health affects us all, whether through personal experience or someone we love. In the UK, one in four people will face mental health challenges, yet the stigma often prevents people from seeking help. By walking together in Emma’s memory, we hope to raise awareness and contribute to vital resources that provide care, support, and hope to those in need.
Our Goal
We’ve set an initial fundraising target of £1,000, but we’re determined to exceed this goal and make a meaningful difference. Your donations can help in the following ways:
£10 could fund a helpline call to provide immediate support to someone in crisis.
£50 could provide a therapy session to help someone on their mental health journey.
£100 could sponsor a mental health workshop to educate and empower communities.
The Challenge
Walking 26.2 miles is a significant challenge, and we are dedicating every step to Emma and everyone affected by mental health struggles. Together, we will push through the pain and fatigue to honour her memory and raise funds for this critical cause.
