The Trust was established to raise funds in support of projects in health, education, capacity building, and income generation in East Timor, one of poorest countries in the world, and the poorest in SE Asia. The name of the Trust evokes this purpose - Provision for East Timorese Education and Relief (P.E.T.E.R).
