Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) is a suicide prevention charity. They have got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.

£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.

This charity is one very close to me, my friends and family. It is a particular issue for men as the suicide rate is over triple that of women. After the pressures that came with Covid, suicide rates rose over five and a half thousand in 2023.

Due to this charity being important to me, I have decided to use the amateur race to raise awareness to its importance and built support for the amazing work that it does.
