Tom Taylor (13) A marathon in 24hours portaging a Kayak, fundraiser for BEEP Doctors · 23 December 2023

The BEEP Doctors carry out life-saving emergency medical care to people involved in serious accidents or incidents across Cumbria. There are 16 volunteer doctors who cover the whole county. We need to raise funds to provide live-saving equipment for our new doctors & to save even more lives,

Story

Tom Taylor (13) is raising money for Cumbria Beep Doctors who are entering their 30th year.

Recently awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Services, it costs £150,000 each year to maintain this fantastic charity and save multiple lives.

Next year they plan to increase their number of rapid response cars shared across the county (with 14 voluntary specialist doctors) from 3 to 4. Money raised will start that fund off. You can’t race to an accident, injury or illness pulling a kayak!

This is a big physical challenge for Tom.

He’ll do 3 miles in hour 1, followed by 1 mile every hour after till the 24 hours is up.

Please give what you can to this great cause.
