The Mannin Cancer Help Centre is a support facility in Douglas, Isle of Man (opposite Nobles Hospital, IM4 4RW), offering free practical, emotional, and social support for anyone affected by cancer.

The Centre provides a peaceful, welcoming environment where patients, families, and carers can access support, speak with trained staff, join groups, or simply spend quiet time. It opened on 5 January 2026 and is funded entirely through donations.

Over the next 7 months, I’m taking on two huge challenges, the Isle of Man Backyard Ultra and the London Marathon to raise money for a charity that does so much for people and families affected by cancer here in the Isle of Man.

I’ve chosen to run for Mannin Cancer Help Centre because cancer touches so many lives, and the support they provide to people going through one of the hardest times in their lives is incredibly important.

The Backyard Ultra will push me to keep going for as long as I possibly can, while the London Marathon will be a completely different kind of challenge. There will definitely be moments during both where I’ll be questioning why I thought this was a good idea! But knowing that every mile is helping raise money for such a worthwhile cause will give me something much bigger than myself to keep going for.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will make a difference and will help Mannin Cancer Help Centre continue providing support to people affected by cancer across our community.
