Story
Today you’d be struggling to find someone who hasn’t been impacted by cancer in their lifetime. This will be my fifth year trying to raise funds for Macmillan, taking last year off due to my own health concerns. Our lives were turned inside out since losing my mum, my best friend. I’ve given up alcohol, I’ve walked a few miles, I’ve given up coffee and I got in the sea with a water phobia so …
Over the last year my health both mental and physical deteriorated rapidly. If you’d asked me to walk 20 miles a few years ago I’d have laughed at how easy I’d consider that. Now, with an inhaler in tow I struggle to find the motivation to walk to the shop for a snickers. Ok, maybe it’s not quite that bad but 20 fucking miles?? Who’s idea was this?
Well on that note, the man mountain that is my coach Si, has set me this challenge (which if I complete means he has to dress up in neon or something) so if you don’t want to donate for me do it for the gram!
Thanks for supporting my fundraising. Macmillan gives people with cancer everything they’ve got. If you’re diagnosed, your worries are Macmillan’s worries. Macmillan’s doing whatever it takes.
