Story
In memory of Tony Maidment, Husband, Father, Grandfather and Pops we are, as a family, raising money to support the ongoing, amazing work of Mountbatten.
Mountbatten enabled Dad (Tony) to have some independence, fun, a sense of purpose and form some wonderful friendships, during his illness. As a family we are enormously grateful for everything they did to support dad and us.
Together as a family we are going to complete part of the Itchen Navigation Path, walking from Winchester to Mansbridge. Some of us walking the entire route, some doing sections and some providing support on route. This will be a challenge as none of us are long distance walkers. We are planning the walk on 7 September 2024 (weather dependant) Please help to support us in any way you can.

When patients and families first come to Mountbatten they often say, ‘now we don’t have to worry.’ You can see the relief in their eyes when they realise they will not have to cope with dying or caring and grieving for their loved one alone.
When you donate, your gift will be used to fund:
-24/7 care and support for people at home or in our inpatient unit.
-bereavement support for anyone who needs it.
-rehabilitation & enablement services to help those with life-limiting conditions live as well as they can.
-specialist medical equipment.
