Why a tonne 2 a tonne?

You've heard of couch to 5k? Well today marks the start of my prep for the Ride London 100 mile event in just under 12 months time and I currently weigh just under 100 kilos. Therefore it's from the proverbial tonne in weight to a tonne in miles.

Why am I doing this?

I am doing this to raise awareness and funds for Little People UK, a charity very close to my heart. I am asking for your help, to both raise awareness of this by liking and sharing this post, reel, video and with any donations for the LPUK Silent Auction and raffle event at the annual convention in August.

Not only will this help raise vital funds, but it will also provide a great publicity opportunity for supporting companies and businesses, as this will be promoted on all LPUK's social media channels as well as on our website and by our membership and supporters.

What is Little People UK?

I am the current Chairperson of Little People UK; we are a charity that supports persons with dwarfism and their families to access everyday life, something that is too often taken for granted.

Little People UK was co-founded in January 2012 by actor Warwick Davis, his wife Sammy and a group of individuals with the same goal; to offer friendship and support to people with dwarfism, their families and friends, and helping build a positive future for those individuals. Since its inception, Little People UK has become a registered charity and an essential resource for the social, medical and financier needs of the little people community in the UK.

Little People UK is led by a voluntary committee and we have one member of staff, we rely on fundraising from our membership and generous donations. Our committee is made up of both people with dwarfism and average height individuals, making for a very fair and compassionate group who can meet the needs of everyone, ensuring friendship and support is provided, whilst raising awareness of people with dwarfism and celebrating with great pride and positivity little people’s contribution to society.
