A few years ago we sadly lost our first son during pregnancy. We had to take the difficult and heart breaking decision to terminate the pregnancy on medical grounds, as early scans picked up a large amount of swelling and advice from the doctors was that it was very unlikely that our son would make it through the full pregnancy and if he did, his life would be limited due to health conditions and disabilities. Although ultimately we know that we made the right decision, not a day goes by that I don’t think about Rhys.

We’re truly blessed to have had a second son in 2022, Leo, and I truly believe that he has some of the spirit of his older brother in him.

During this difficult period, we were supported by an amazing charity, Held in our hands, who were an amazing support, particularly for Dionne. I’d love to raise some money to support this charity in the memory of our little angel Rhys.
