Story

On the 27th April 2025, I (Tony) am running my 17th London Marathon for Dream Come True. I have run a total of 41 full marathons so far and 2025 will be my last. My Personal Best time of 2 hours, 56 minutes was set in 2002 when I was 40. Now at the age of 63 at the 2025 London Marathon, I'll be looking to finish in 4 hours, 30 minutes if my ageing body will allow it.

Jamie (my son) is running the marathon with me in memory of my Dad (Ron)/Jamie's Grandad (who passed away in January 2024 at the age of 90)

Ron (Dad) got me (Tony) into running in the 1980's and we ran the 1986 London Marathon together when I was 26 years old. Nearly 40 years later in 2025, Jamie is going to run the London Marathon when he is 26 years old with me.

We would be so grateful for your support on this quest, and in memory of Ron. I'm sure Ron will be watching Jamie and I run in 2025 and cheering us on, wherever he is.

Dreams Come True are a national charity whose mission is to enrich the lives of children with serious and life-limiting conditions living in the highest areas of deprivation in the country, by fulfilling their dreams.

Whether its a UK family getaway for a young cancer patient, a specially adapted trike for a child with cerebral palsy, or a room makeover for a seriously ill child, each dream brings moments of magic and has a lasting impact for years to come.

That is why your support means so much! By donating to my page and helping me to achieve my fundraising goal you will be helping to make more dreams come true for children who have it tough.

Thanks very much for reading this and your support.
