Story
Hi Folks,
As folks are aware last year we (my wife and I) walked 1500 mile for a local children’s hospice. Well we’ve continued with the walking theme and this year the target is 2023 miles (not steps, actual walked miles). We have been inspired by the recent stories of Rob Burrows and the late Doddie Wier and the superhuman efforts of Kevin Sinfield. We are not superhuman, but definitely doing our bit, so our charity this year is MNDA (Motor Neurone Disease Association). Sadly the challenge has become a little more personal as I am now aware that a former work colleague and friend (I’m sure he won’t mind me mentioning his name Phil “Longy”) has now been diagnosed.
This is a year-end challenge but we are pushing it and looking to have it completed by end of October. Presently we are just over 960 miles as of 12th May. We’ve still got more than a 1000 to go, so no mean feat.
We’d really appreciate anyone who is able to sponsor us, things are tight we know, but every little counts. It would be gratefully received and MNDA would welcome the support.
Thanks Tony & Jacqueline
