Story
As well as chairing a rare disease charity, Behçet's UK, I am also Alliance Network Chair (Patient Public Involvement/Voice) in Central and South Genomics (https://centralsouthgenomics.nhs.uk). Currently, I am privileged to work with a number of clinicians in King’s College Hospital, and specifically co-chair with Dr Anwar Alhaq, Genomics Programme Director & AI/CogStack Programme co-lead King’s College London, the Patient Public Perspectives Forum for the NHS England Genomics Artificial Intelligence Network initiative. This work is vital to establish trust in the use of artificial intelligence in genomics to radically improve the health outcomes for everyone in our country, but particularly for historically marginalised and underserved communities.
