At Connells Group, we’re proud to be coming together to support Dementia UK. A charity that provides life-changing support for families facing dementia through specialist Admiral Nurses.

So I have recently decided to take my life into my own hands and jump out of a plane at a ‘’ few thousand feet! ‘’ ( I have not checked how many thousands of feet it is!!) in aid of the groups chosen charity Dementia UK.

I am hoping to have a parachute attached to me when I do this jump, however I have not gone into that detail at this point!! I can also confirm I have never done anything like this before!!

UPDATE - The skydive has been cancelled three times now (On Saturday 12th, Sunday 13th and Friday18th Sept) due to high winds at the airfield, which has been great for the nerves!!!! So hopefully the jump will take place (4th time lucky!!! ) on Sunday 20th of September at the Sibson Airfield near Peterborough.

Why am I doing this? I have experienced the suffering that Dementia can cause in my own family over the past few years, and I can only highlight to all the value of the excellent work that the Dementia UK charity does to help maintain a decent quality of life for people suffering with this dreadful disease!
