Anyone who knew Tony knew of his love of walking in the Lakes, he started climbing mountains at a young age with his parents and brother Geoff and passed that love of climbing onto his wife June and children Matt and Becky.

Langdale and Ambleside Mountain rescue was very close to his heart, they are an organisation run completely by volunteers and rely on donations to keep running. He was lucky enough never to need their help personally but has seen so many times just how important what they do is and he often donated to this amazing cause.

In lieu of flowers we are asking Tony's friends and family to consider making a donation to this fabulous cause in his name so they can continue their important work
