On September 6 Karen Durnin and I will be taking part in the PKD Community 5k. The aim is to get as many people as possible talking about PKD and the effects that it has on individuals and their families.

We have both been lucky enough to have kidney transplants that have improved our lives. I had mine on 18th July this year and Karen 7 years ago.

Since 2000, when the charity was formed, PKD Charity have invested thousands in research into this disease.
