I’m so excited to announce that I will be running London Marathon 2027 for LOROS!!!

Running a marathon for LOROS is something that means a great deal to me. They showed incredible care for my Granddad during his battle with Mesothelioma, back in 2008 when I was only 10 years old. In what was a very difficult and confusing time for me, LOROS provided not only expert medical support but also kindness and genuine understanding. They made sure my Granddad was as comfortable as he could be which gave myself and my family reassurance and peace of mind when we needed it most. I don’t remember a lot from this time, but I do remember that the staff went above and beyond, supporting not just him but our whole family.

Taking on a marathon feels like a meaningful way to give something back to a charity that gave so much to my family. Even as a regular runner, the marathon is a challenge that will push me both physically and mentally, but I hope it reflects the strength and resilience my Granddad showed, as well as the dedication of the people who cared for him. By raising money for LOROS, I hope to help them continue providing their vital services to other families facing similar situations, ensuring that more people can experience the same compassion and support that meant so much to us.
