Story
Every day, from my seat at SWAST I hear the voices of people in crisis — a mother whose child has stopped breathing, a son caring for his elderly father, a stranger helping at the scene of an accident.
I love my job but I also experience some really tough moments - I know first hand how hard this job can be - and how much our staff rely on the wellbeing support available- funded by this charity, especially with the demand rising.
Recently I needed help with my own mental health which has been directly funded by charities like this - as I know my other colleagues have / will too. I know exactly how crucial this is.
We work tirelessly to get help to those calls as fast as possible. I see firsthand how hard our teams work, how stretched resources can be, and how much every little bit of support helps both our staff and patients.
Please, if you can, consider donating so we can achieve things like more community access to tools like defibrillators, improve staff wellbeing and together keep making a life-saving difference across the South West.
Thank you so much💚🚑
