Story
My name is Torin Liversedge. I’m 18 years old, and in 2020, I lost my older brother, Corey, to suicide. Not a day goes by that I don’t miss him deeply. His loss changed everything.
In the middle of that pain, I discovered photography, something that started as a way to cope and has since grown into a powerful passion. For the past five years, I’ve been creating and selling calendars featuring my landscape photography, using it not just as art, but as a way to heal and connect with others.
To mark five years since losing Corey, and five years since I picked up a camera, I dedicated my 2025 calendar to raising money for SAMH’s North East Suicide Prevention team. With the incredible support of nine local businesses and many kind individuals, I
sold 350 calendars and raised £5,278.
My biggest motivation for selling my calendars for charity has always been to help prevent others and families from going through the pain that mine has. I know firsthand how devastating the loss of a loved one to suicide can be. I believe that even one honest conversation can save a life. And that’s why the work of Prevent Suicide North East aligns so strongly with the impact I hope my fundraising will have. I truly believe in the vital work this incredible team is doing, and I’m proud to support their mission to create real, lasting change.
But I’m not stopping here.
This year, through my 2026 calendar, I’m aiming to raise over £10,000 for Suicide Prevention - North East Scotland, and £15,000 combined across my 2025 and 2026 editions.
Every calendar sold makes a difference. Every pound raised helps save lives.
If you’ve ever been affected by suicide, know someone who’s struggling, or just want to support a cause that matters, I ask you to please consider buying a calendar, spreading the word, or supporting in any way you can.
Together, we can honour those we’ve lost, support those who are struggling, and make sure fewer families have to go through what mine did.
SAMH's North East Suicide Prevention Team works in communities to reduce stigma and increase capacity to support conversations around suicide. They do this through providing free resources and training so that people know what they can do to help keep themselves and others safe.
A heartfelt thank you to the rotary club of Aboyne and Upper Deeside, for fully supporting me with the production and distribution of my 2026 calendars.
Thank you so much for your support.
