The Grand Appeal is the Bristol Children's Hospital Charity, a local charity that is very important to us at TOUT'S.

Founded in 1995, the award-winning charity has raised millions to save lives and support sick children and their families at Bristol Children's Hospital.

The Grand Appeal Supports Bristol Children's Hospital by funding pioneering, life-saving equipment and research, including ventilators, a cardiac hybrid theatre and an inter-operative MRI scanner, so that patients have access to the best possible healthcare and life-saving equipment. The charity provides free accommodation to families of critically ill patients through its three home-from-home facilities and ensures the hospital is a vibrant and child friendly place to help distract young patients through music therapy, art and play programmes and much more.

The Grand Appeal holds a very special place in our hearts. Aurora Tout, the youngest daughter of TOUT’S owners Jon and Zena, was born at just 33 weeks after Zena experienced PPROM at 29 weeks. Aurora spent the first seven days of her life in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital, where the incredible team worked tirelessly to give her the best possible start.

She arrived into the world unable to breathe on her own, but thanks to the expertise and care of the NICU team, Jon and Zena were able to bring home a healthy baby girl. They will forever be grateful for the unwavering support and dedication of the team who made that possible.
