Toxic Treads Fundraiser for Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project (Lamp)

Jade Edwards is raising money for Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project (Lamp)

Walking the National Forest Way · 22 May 2026

Mental Health is complex. Our advocacy work involves, listening, guiding, planning, supporting and ensuring their needs are properly considered. Mental Health cannot be ‘cured’ with one conversation, it takes time to form trust. Our advocates devote hours, days, months to provide the best support.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page

I want to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name's Jade (aka Daisy Diamond) and I teach adult dance classes within Leicestershire, focusing on body positivity, as well as self confidence, my classes are aimed at not only dancing and getting fit but at the social side, having that hour just for yourself, supporting each other, laughing and making friendships.

I've been teaching for 6 years now and during this time have held several events raising funds for local charities, this has been via a 6 hour Burlesque-a-thon and 2 shows.

I have a fantastic group of women who attend my classes and many have taken part in these events, I really couldn't do what I do with out them, especially when I come up with ideas such as this one!

May 22-24, myself and several of my dancers will be walking the National Forest Way over 3 days. This is a 75-mile walk extending from the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire to Beacon Hill Country Park in Leicestershire, we will be doing 30 miles on day 1, 24 miles on day 2 and 21 miles on day 3, we will be doing this to raise funds for local charity Leicestershire Action for Mental Health Project (LAMP)

Mental health has effected all of us in one way or another, and for me personally walking and dancing are the things which help me the most when my mental health isn't in the best space, so when I came up with this challenge idea I knew I wanted to raise funds for Mental health and LAMP are a fabulous local charity who provide independent advocacy to those living in Leicestershire and Rutland

So please sponsor us if you can and follow our training and journey on Facebook under toxic_treads (our dance classes are Toxic Treats so it's a nod to that) and thank you for all your support xx
