Story

Oxford Hospitals Charity is transforming care for patients and staff throughout the John Radcliffe, Churchill, Horton General, Oxford Children’s Hospital and Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre.

Working within the Children's Hospital, I have the privilege of seeing the great work that is happening on a daily basis by the team, and to see the impact Oxford Hospital's Charity is having in supporting teams like ours in purchasing equipment, accessing learning and development and developing our services. So often it is the little added extras that really can make a big difference to patients and staff.

Our multi-professional paediatric therapy team work with children, young people and their families admitted across the Children's Hospital. Promoting recovery and maximising ability following illness, disability or injury. Your gift really could help us as a team in funding improvements to our paediatric rehab spaces to make them more child friendly and enabling us to purchase vital equipment that can improve what we are able to offer to to best support access to optimal rehabilitation for the families we work with.

Running the long way home from from London (Richmond) back to Oxford for such a great cause provides the perfect reason to attempt the 100 miler distance; and a reason to keep going in the tougher moments on the day!
