Unique's mission is to inform, support and alleviate the isolation of anyone affected by a rare chromosome disorder, copy number variant or single gene disorder associated with learning disability/developmental delay and to raise public awareness.

Catriona Durell, a senior member of the TBP Legal and Business Affairs team, has a son Joshua, with a very rare chromosome disorder which was diagnosed when he was a few weeks old. Unique, at the time of diagnosis, were the only reliable source of information about Joshua's condition, with both Catriona and Josh's doctors relying on their knowledge and experience to know how to proceed.

Joshua is now 12 and is a wonderful young man with a loving and cheeky personality. It hasn’t been an easy journey for Catriona and her family but Unique’s support has been with them throughout.

Thursday 13 June is Rare Chromosome day. The Legal and Business Affairs team at the Blair Partnership thought this would be an excellent opportunity to run their own charity event in support of Catriona and this wonderful charity.

On the morning of Thursday 13th, we will be undertaking a Blue Plaque Challenge around Fitzrovia. This will involve our team splitting into two, racing each other around the streets of Fitzrovia, locating a treasure hunt of Blue Plaques and then bolting back to our offices in the quickest time.*

We are reaching out to colleagues, partners and friends asking them to sponsor us completing this unique challenge in support of Unique.
