We’re Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We host a helpline for people affected by suicide, as well as vital online resources for anyone who needs them.

Story

Hi

Welcome back again as we enter our 6th walk in Swindon for CALM. How have we done five walks already and raised so much awareness for suicide prevention. I cannot believe we are entering our 7th year without alex and all our other loved ones. Firstly I’d like to say thankyou to my amazing friends and the community of Swindon and further a field for supporting me. Since our first walk back in October 2021 with just 6 friends we have now turned this into an annual day of celebration, love and with over 80 people walking 16 miles around Swindon together. I know this awareness is making a difference because strangers are reaching out for help and guidance from myself and CALM. In 4 years this group has walked, jumped out of airplanes, completed gym challenges, solo walks, fishing competitions, marathons, held evening events, raffles and cake and hamper sales. People have believed in the cause and we together have raised over £70,000 so again this year we will be out in force on Saturday 24th October walking 16 miles. Every £12.20 will help keep CALM phone line open everyday so please donate and make a difference if you can

Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM), and we’re a suicide prevention charity. We’ve got loads of tools and resources to help people find the support they need, including a life-saving helpline for people who can’t see a way forward, have lost someone to suicide, or are worried about their friends or loved ones.

£12.20 is enough to fund one potentially life-saving call.
