Nepal needs us more than ever - please help if you are able through our Rebuilding Lives Appeal

Nepal is facing a devastating crisis at the moment -

On Wednesday 26 August, a catastrophic flash flood swept through communities close to the Nepal/Tibet border after the collapse of part of a Himalayan glacier. An enormous torrent of water, ice, rock and mud surged through river valleys, destroying homes, roads, bridges and vital infrastructure.

Hundreds of people have lost their lives and more than 1,000 people are still reported missing. Communities have been cut off and villages destroyed. Families have lost their homes and livelihoods and the full scale of the devastation is still emerging.

For the people who have survived, the struggle is only beginning.

Through Lincs2Nepal, we believe, with your help, we can help families rebuild their lives. We could help families regain shelter, security, health, education and the opportunity to earn a living again.

Lincs2Nepal has a long history of responding when communities in Nepal need help. Following the 2015 earthquakes, Garry and our team provided food, clothing, medical care and essential supplies before going on to help build more than 600 shelters for families who had lost their homes. We have also supported communities affected by flooding and provided vital assistance to families during the Covid crisis.

Now Nepal needs us again.

We are launching an appeal to raise funds that can be directed towards those affected by this latest disaster — helping vulnerable families recover from the immediate crisis and, where possible, rebuild their homes, livelihoods and futures.
