🩷 I'm running the London Marathon for Breast Cancer Now — and here's why
In April 2026, I’ll be running the London Marathon in support of Breast Cancer Now — not just as a fundraiser, but as a survivor.
💬 My Story
In April 2024, I was diagnosed with breast cancer. It was a moment that changed everything — overwhelming, frightening, and surreal, but from that day forward, I made a promise to myself: to face it head-on, to stay strong, take one day at a time and to keep moving forward.
I had my surgery in May 2024, started chemotherapy in August for 6 rounds finishing in November. Then came the radiotherapy in December, on December 28th 2024 I rang that bell! It was a whirlwind of hospital visits, side effects, and emotional highs and lows — but I got through it with the help of my wonderful Family & Friends. Then in April 2025, I received the news I’d been hoping for: a clear mammogram.
Now, less than year later from ringing that bell, I’m training to run 26.2 miles — not just for myself, but for everyone who’s been affected by breast cancer. For those still fighting, for those we’ve lost, and for the families and friends who stand beside them.
💗 Why Breast Cancer Now
Breast Cancer Now supported me through the most difficult time in my life. They fund world-class research and provide life-changing care and support — and they’re working towards a future where everyone diagnosed with breast cancer lives, and lives well.
Running the London Marathon is my way of giving back — of turning something painful into something powerful. Every donation helps fund vital research, support services, and hope for the future.
Please donate if you can — and cheer me on as I take on this incredible challenge. 💗
