I am taking on the huge challenge of cycling from Lands End to John O'Groats (952 miles) in 10 days starting on Friday 21st July 2023.

Although I enjoy cycling, I have never attempted such a long distance before. I have been putting in the hours for training around family and work commitments, and I know it will be tough to cycle consecutive days of around 100 miles with some hilly routes too (it is very flat in Suffolk & Norfolk!).

I am self funding this solo ride and my wife Laura and our three children (Elliot 9, Lucas 7 and Sophia 16 months) will be my vehicle support team for the duration of the challenge and we hope it will be an adventure for them to remember (although if you ask Laura she will tell you that she has the harder challenge!!).

I am raising money for Friends of Barnham School of which I have been the treasurer for 4 years. The money raised will go towards much needed ipads for the children for their learning. Barnham School is a superb little school and I hope I can raise a decent amount for them through this cycle ride.
