Story

How do you celebrate a milestone birthday? Jump out of a plane of course! My dear friend Eddie held St John’s Hospice in very high regard, they looked after his lovely wife Eileen at the end of her life, 10 years ago. Eddie died last year at the fantastic age of 94 - a true gentleman, very perceptive and personable, I miss him and want to raise as much money as I can for the Hospice, in his name. He'd say I was mad but he'd be proud of me too!

St John's has been part of the local community for 40 years and provides vital services to patients and families all over our community. Their aim is to ensure that on the journey towards the end of life, they provide the right care, in the right place, at the right time.

Their care will always be free to those who need it, but it isn’t cost free. It costs £602 per hour to run the Hospice and all their services with only around a quarter of this amount provided by local NHS funding. The remaining three quarters must be raised through events, community donations, grants and legacies.

Please sponsor me if you can, no matter how small an amount, collectively we will make a huge difference to the Hospice and the community they support.

I will post pics of course, for you to laugh at, after the event.

Thanks so much for your support

Tracy

xx
