Matthew & I are running our first ever Marathon in Amsterdam on Sunday 18th October.

Whilst we have done a decent level of training, it has been a rocky journey and time on our feet has not been as much as we hoped for! 🙈 However, we are determined to reach this milestone in our running journey, I am sure it is going to bring a lot of pain and emotion no doubt! 😂

We have chosen to fundraise for Rocklands Special School where our son, Harry attends. This place is nothing short of a miracle, it’s like treasure and honestly means more to our family than we could ever put into words.

Rocklands and the staff are absoloutly amazing. They see our son for the wonderful, unique person he is, believe in him, encourage him and celebrate every achievement. Rocklands isn't simply a school to us; its where Harry belongs, where he is accepted for who he is and where he is given the chance to shine. Harry is saying and doing things now, that at one time, we didn’t think was even possible.

Rocklands are looking to transform one of their current sensory rooms into a role play village and we would love to help contribute to this wonderful project.

Role play for children like our Harry doesn’t always come easy but having this role play village in the school will help give these children the space to build skills and help them learn and interact through play.

Ultimately our hearts are forever grateful to Rocklands, they have changed our lives so much. I honestly don’t think I have left an assembly or nativity without tears in my eyes! You just feel the outpouring of love, support and kindness as soon as you walk in, there truly isn’t a place like it!

We just want to give something back to help the incredible people who give so much of themselves to our children, and help make sure other families can experience the care and hope that Rocklands has given ours.

Every donation, however small, would mean the absolute world to us and would go towards supporting a truly special school and the incredible children at the heart of it.
