Story
On the 11th April I will be running a 50k Ultra Marathon in Wales to raise money for the Peggy Wood Foundation.
In December 2023, whilst training for my first Ultra, I found a lump in my breast. 5 days after completing the run, I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.

I am one of the lucky ones as I live close to the Peggy Wood Breast Care Centre in Maidstone, which was opened to improve our local screening services.

I was quickly seen & the cancer was removed in January 2024. I have since had two further surgeries, the last one being a mastectomy in October 2025.
Running has been my therapy for the last 20 years, so I couldn't think of a better way to give something back to the amazing team at the hospital who saved my life.
I will be joining nearly 2000 other women for this event, which itself has been set up to raise awareness, provide support & fund vital research for women's cancer.

I know things are tough for many at the moment, but if you could spare a few pennies to help push me through the training & the run, I would really appreciate it.
