Story

On 19th October, the four of us — all mates from school in York — are running the Yorkshire Marathon to raise money for Transcend Sarcoma.

The charity was set up by Jack Holmes - the brother of one of our runners (Mark) - who was diagnosed with a rare form of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in October 2023.

Jack sadly passed away in October 2024 but his fight and his legacy lives on through Transcend Sarcoma.

The community-based charity aim to raise awareness and money to fund vital research projects, working directly with the pathology and oncology specialists at UCLH to ensure all funds raised will have the maximum possible impact.

If you’re able to chip in, we’d massively appreciate it. Every donation goes straight to the charity and makes a real difference.
