Cambodia Youth For Change has been established to promote learning and leadership in Cambodia. All fundraising efforts support a Learning Centre in Kampong Speu, Cambodia. We provide predominantly English classes, books and computers for a library service, and also provide leadership scholarships to children from underprivileged backgrounds so that they can remain in school. We provide university scholarships to support children through their university studies. The Learning Centre provides access to child friendly spaces for children to play and have fun in a safe environment. We have c130 children attending the Learning Centre every day.

Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page for the organisation Cambodia Youth for Change (CYC).

About CYC School:

Cambodia Youth for Change (CYC) is a registered not for profit school that provides quality education and a safe environment for children of all ages in the rural district of Kampong Speu, Cambodia.

On average there are 150 local children visiting the learning centre, taking part in activities to improve their English and boost their future career prospects. The school also provides assistance and mentorship opportunities to encourage students to remain in education rather than leaving early for low skilled employment.

How will your donation make an impact?

-To support the school directly through the purchasing of books, resources and ICT for a basic library.

-To allow more students from low income families to attend (currently a donation of $1USD per month is asked from students who attend, however sometimes this is not possible due to family finances).

-To provide leadership and university scholarships to gifted children from poor families so that they can remain in studies whilst assisting with delivering education to younger students.
