On the 18th of May 2024 we will be completing a 26-mile trek in London on behalf of Phil Wiggett aka Dad to raise money and awareness for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Dad was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s in 2017, aged 63 and sadly passed away in June 2023, aged 68. Walking was one of the few activities Dad could do with minimal help or assistance giving him a sense of freedom, enjoyment and peace. Alzheimer's is truly heart breaking, and no family should see their loved one gradually decline and be taken by this horrendous disease.

There are currently 900,000 people living with dementia in the UK and this is projected to rise to 1.6 million by 2040. It has also been the leading cause of death in Britain for the last 10 years.

Alzheimer’s Society are tirelessly working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. Your donation will fund vital support and life-changing research to give help and hope to someone living with dementia.
